Our Charities
Motorcycles and motorcycle rallies have always gone hand in hand with charitable organizations. Many of the most popular events at rallies like Thunder Beach benefit various charities around the area. Poker Runs, a perennial favorite, are all done with the purpose of helping those less fortunate than you and I. The staff of Thunder Beach salutes all of the charitable organizations and the many bikers & enthusiasts that give back so much to our community!
The mission of the American Red Cross is to improve the quality of human life; to enhance self-reliance and concern for others; and to help people avoid, prepare for, and cope with emergencies. It does this through services that are governed and directed by volunteers and are consistent with its congressional charter and the principles of the International Red Cross.
Christian Motorcycle Association's Mission is to inspire our leaders and members to be the most organized, advanced, equipped, financially stable organization, full of integrity in the motorcycling industry and the Kingdom of God.
Cops For Kids, one of the highpoints of every Thunder Beach Rally, is the gathering of hundreds of motorcycle enthusiasts for the Kevin Kight Memorial Parade. The event has special significance to the Panama City Beach community as it serves to memorialize a fallen local hero and provides much needed assistance to deserving children in the community.
The parade is named in honor of Kevin Kight, a Panama City Beach police officer who tragically lost his life in the line of duty while making a traffic stop on Front Beach Road on March 27, 2005. A small stone plaque now stands at the spot where Kight was killed. He leaves his wife Christina and his young son, Brandon. Parade participants and onlookers alike band together at the event to raise food and monetary donations that are given to local food banks serving needy families throughout the Bay County area through the Cops and Kids program.
The Parade always occurs on each Saturday during the Spring and Fall events. The festivities kick off at 10:45 as riders line up on Middle Beach Road just west of Beckrich. All are welcome to participate in this moving and worthwhile event.

The Humane Society of Bay County (HSBC) strives to create a world where people understand and meet the physical and emotional needs of our companion animals, protect wild animals, and respect our common environment. Specifically, we seek to promote the humane treatment of animals, foster respect for life and the environment, and to end the needless destruction of companion animals.
Our beliefs and purposes are the prevention of cruelty, relief of suffering among animals, promotion of spay and neutering, and the extension of humane education.
We are a local non-profit organization humane society, returning to our original goals of adoption, spay/neuter, humane education, and providing help to the companion animals of Bay County. We hope that you will support our new mission - to place every animal we accept in a loving, lifetime home.
The activities of The Legion Riders are limited only by the imagination of the members of the local Riders organizations, and many chapters have independently raised thousands of dollars for local children’s hospitals, schools, veterans' homes, severely wounded servicemen and women, and American Legion scholarship programs. Since 2006, Riders have united nationally for The American Legion Legacy Run to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars each year for The American Legion Legacy Scholarship Fund, established for the children of those who given their lives on active duty defending our freedoms around the world.
The Patriot Guard Riders is a diverse amalgamation of riders from across the nation. We have one thing in common besides motorcycles. We have an unwavering respect for those who risk their very lives for America’s freedom and security. If you share this respect, please join us.
We don't care what you ride or if you ride, what your political views are, or whether you’re a hawk or a dove. It is not a requirement that you be a veteran. It doesn't matter where you’re from or what your income is; you don’t even have to ride. The only prerequisite is Respect.
Our main mission is to attend the funeral services of fallen American heroes as invited guests of the family. Each mission we undertake has two basic objectives:
- Show our sincere respect for our falled heroes, their families, and their communities
- Shield the mourning family and their friends from interruptions created by any protestor or group of protestors.
We accomplish the latter through strictly legal and non-violent means.
To those of you who are currently serving and fighting for the freedom of others, at home and abroad, please know that we are backing you. we honor and support you with every mission we carry out, and we are praying for a safe return home for all.

The Thunder Angels, an all female group, was founded on April 30, 2001 in Panama City, Florida. Eight women riders came together at the first meeting and the THUNDER ANGELS were off and riding. They came together to promote a common goal that is an awareness of women riders and how much fun it is to be on the open road. The Thunder Angels from the beginning make it quite clear: "We're in it for the ride!"
The Thunder Angels are as diverse as their bikes and have all levels of riding experience, from the beginner to the most experience rider. "It doesn't matter what you ride, as long as you ride."
Our members enjoy monthly organized rides, fund raising activities and spontaneous rides. These rides emphasize safety, community involvement and having fun.
