That’s all we can say about our 2008 Autumn Thunder Beach Rally!  We were a little worried that because of all those pesky hurricanes, the fledgling economy, high gas prices, and in some cases, a total lack of gasoline, that we were in for a fairly small turnout for our Rally.  Boy, were we wrong! Bikers turned out in droves for our little Beach-side Rally and we could not have been more pleased! Although we are still waiting for reports from our gracious Lodging Sponsors,

Destruction of The Rumor Mill
ImageAs many of our visitors know by reading the Myopic Blunder in our Official Show Magazine for the Autumn Rally, there are some folks out there claiming Thunder Beach as their event.  Creatively inept and mentally unable to develop a concept on their own, they tried create a rally inside another rally.  I know…it doesn’t make sense to me either….

Miss Thunder Beach

The first ever Miss Thunder Beach Pageant and Spokes Model Program was an overwhelming success as 25 beautiful ladies from around the Southeast went for the title of Miss Thunder Beach and to show their love for the Thunder Beach Motorcycle Rallies.  Many of these lovely ladies became part of the Thunder Beach Girls spokes model team. You may have spotted our many of them at the lingerie show at the Boardwalk or out and about at all the official venues making sure everyone was having a good time!

Best of The Beach Bike Show
ImageFor the first time ever, Pier Park was an Official Venue for the Thunder Beach Autumn Rally as the location of the Best of The Beach Custom Bike Show sponsored by US Rider News.   There were 76 entries in the show by the registration deadline and at least another 30 that showed up after the 11 am cut-off time.

Sandpiper Concerts on the Beach
ImageThe Sandpiper Beacon led the way in rockin’ entertainment during the 2008 Thunder Beach Autumn Rally with FREE Beachside Concerts that started a full week ahead of the Rally! Bands from around the country ripped up the stage at the world famous Sandpiper Beacon Tiki Bar for 8 straight days and the Thunder Beach fans that came down to Panama City Beach early this year kept the party going!

Edgewater Entertainment
After our last Spring Rally, we got numerous emails asking us to change up the entertainment a little bit at our big stage in the Shoppes of Edgewater.  You ask and Thunder Beach delivers!  We invited some of the bands that participated in this year’s Homegrown Concert Series at Spinnaker Beach Club to join us at the Rally.  None of these new guys let us down as they were not only totally professional off stage, but gave blistering performances onstage!
